Dramatized books are a lot of fun as they hire an entire cast to act out the parts and read them. These are complete with sound effects also.

Blind people can purchase audio books through most retail stores in their areas. They usually have a special section dedicated to audio books. Not every retail store carries these but as they grow in popularity, they should be more easy to find. If you cannot find them at retail stores, you can go to your local library where you can borrow some at no charge and there are people there who can help the blind find the material they are looking for easier.

This is a hobby that is enjoyed by many people whether disabled or not and is catching on more and more every day. You just need to find out what kind of books they are interested and present them a couple of choices if they haven't had much experience with an audio book.
